Generation 05: Chapter 08

Dear Diary,

It has been almost a full year since we welcomed Isabella to the family. I can’t believe she will be a toddler soon.

From day one, India and Irene have loved their little sister. We didn’t have any tears or temper tantrums.

I am happy all my girls get along so well.

I have been busy writing and just completed my 20th book. That puts the family total at 180.

I have also been busy working on both my fitness and cooking skill.

When I read on the bulletin board that the romance festival was in town, I knew it was finally time for Bianca and I to get married.

We got all dressed up and journeyed to the festival. We exchanged vows in the same place as my parents and grand-parents. Getting married at the festival has become something of a family tradition.

India looked so cute in her sparking pink dress throwing flower petals in the air.

The evening ended with fireworks.

Following the wedding we had a beautiful photograph taken of the family.

I really want to take Bianca on a proper honeymoon but we decided to wait until the kids are a little older. That didn’t stop us from having our own private celebration.

Dear diary,

I can’t believe how fast time seems to go by these days.

Isabella is already a toddler. She followed in my footsteps and has the inquisitive trait.

Now that India completed her artistic prodigy aspiration she has been working on becoming a whiz kid.

We have been playing so much chess together that Bianca decided to capture the moment.

Meanwhile, Irene has reached level 4 in her movement skill and level 5 in communication. She has also maxed potty and imagination.

I guess Isabella has been feeling ignored because she decided to have a tantrum and smash the dollhouse.

After fixing the dollhouse I spent time potty training her.

Then put cartoons on for the two toddlers to watch. Bianca was upset about the smashed doll house and worked on an angry painting.

A few days later it was India and Irene’s birthday.

India wants to be a master chef and added the genius trait.

Irene is a rambunctious scamp and loves the outdoors.

Now that India is a teenager we updated her bedroom.

We also decided to redo our dining room.

India decided to quit drama club and get a job working in fast food. She has been working on increasing her cooking skill.

Now that India is old enough to watch her younger siblings I surprised Bianca by taking her on a honeymoon in Sulani.

Bianca enjoyed relaxing in the sun.

I went fishing.

We drank a lot of kava.

On our first evening there we celebrated Bianca’s adult birthday.

Then after cake we cuddled up by the fire.

The next morning we woke up early to watch the sun rise.

Bianca painted.

While I did some more fishing.

We then went swimming.

Went dancing at a local bar.

Bianca even went behind the bar and made these special flirty drinks.

The day ended with a visit to a local festival where I tried fire dancing.

On our last morning in Sulani we rented jet skis and journeyed to the waterfall.

Where we had some amazing woohoo.

Dear Diary,

I have so many things to report.

For starters ever since we returned from Sulani Bianca has been throwing up.

I was worried she picked up an bug but turns out she is pregnant.

She told me the news over a game of chess.

I couldn’t be happier.

That happiness was short lived though as India set herself and the kitchen on fire.

Fortunately, I was able to put her out and were able to replace the stove and kitchen counters that were damaged.

Then just as we were getting over feeling tense from the fire we learned that my sister Diana died. I decided to take a break from mysteries and made my next book a sad one. Mom always told me that writing sad books after someone dies was a great way to deal with the feelings.

We are all sad but getting by day by day. I find spending time together helps and I especially enjoy when we can all eat meals together. With the new dining room furniture, Isabella can now sit on the bench rather than on the floor if she wants to eat with us.

Irene is doing really well in school. She brought home a school project and worked on it carefully while Bianca painted.

Once Bianca’s painting was done she sat down to help Irene finish the project.

It turned out excellent.

Bianca then went and spent time working with Isabella on her thinking skill. She has already reached level three or higher in everything but thinking.

Meanwhile, India has been working on both her fitness and cooking skill. I told her she couldn’t use the stove again until she reached at least level 3 in cooking.

I feel like all I do lately is work or write books. I have been trying to find more balance and spend time with the kids when I can. One of my favorite things to do, besides meals together, is read to the girls.

Dear diary,

Once again I can’t get over how quickly time flies.

We went to Myshuno Meadows today as a family to celebrate Isabella’s birthday.

My sister’s both joined us. I can’t believe they are elders already.

Bianca helped Isabella with her candles despite the fact that Isabella is currently mad at Bianca over a flash card incident. Isabella currently has the hurt sentiment and claims her mom hurt her feelings.

After aging up, Isabella opened her presents. She got a doll house, penguin television, chemistry set and several other great gifts.

In addition to my sisters, my niece Iris, and cousins Trever, Camilla, Heaven, and Raelyn were also at the party.

I had a great time catching up with Dorothy over a game of chess.

Irene and Isabella spent time talking and playing on the jungle gym.

By the end of the party Isabella and Irene had become best friends.

After the party Isabella got her makeover. She has the goofball trait and the social butterfly aspiration.

In trying to make more space in the room the girls share we added a loft for their bookcase, new chemistry set, art table, etc.

Author’s note: I tried to create bunk beds like I saw James Turner do on YouTube but couldn’t get it to work.

Dear diary,

A few days after Isabella’s birthday party Bianca went into labor.

Despite having gone through this twice already I panicked.

And continued panicking all through the delivery.

We brought home our fourth girl. Her name is Ivy after the character Poison Ivy in the Batman comic books.
