Generation 04: Chapter 03

Dear Diary,

It has been a few weeks since I brought Diana home from the hospital.

She is such a wonderful baby. She really only cries when she is hungry or needs a diaper change.

I found some adorable little onsies on Plopsy.

Of course I also make an effort to spend time with Dinah.

Sadly during this time we lost my cousin Richard.

I also read online that Rory won the lottery. I guess his wife forgave him, probably because of the money. It makes me so mad. I haven’t heard from him since the day I told him I was pregnant. He has never called to check on me or provide for his daughter in any way.

Despite all that, I managed to focus my energy on writing and published two more books.

And reached level 7 in the writing skill.

Time seemed to fly by and before I knew it Diana was aging into a toddler with the angelic trait. She has my green eyes and freckles but got her dad’s brown hair.

She loves books and our favorite time of the day is story time before bed. She always wants “one more” story.

The weather has been nice, so Diana spends most of her time playing outside on the jungle gym. She is quickly gaining movement skills.

Pancakes are Diana’s favorite food. She wants them for breakfast, lunch and supper.

She is great with Dinah. She spends hours talking to her and will sometimes even imitate her.

Diana is such a happy little girl and the light of my life.

One beautiful summer day I met Robb, Lydia, and Deon at the park for a play date. I can’t believe how big Dieon is getting. He isn’t a toddler anymore but rather a rambunctious scamp who loves dogs.

While at the park I met William Bennett. He is really big on the environment and was at the park trying to get people to vote for his green initiative.

We had a great conversation and even sat down to play a couple games of chess.

I admit we may have flirted a little but I am determined to take things slow this time. I have Diana to think about.

Diana had a great time playing make believe.

She loves it when I pick her up and swing her through the air.

When we got home I made sure to spend time playing with Dinah too. I really hope she never feels left out.

Dear Diary,

I am almost afraid to write this for fear of jinxing myself but things are going so well.

Diana maxed her communication skill while playing with Blaffy the Bear.

A few hours later she also maxed her movement skill while dancing.

I published my tenth book.

The royalties are coming in.

The book I wrote after my mom died was even nominated for a big award.

Work has also been going well as I earned another promotion. I am now an Intrepid Instructor.

Things are also going well with William. He comes over and we hang out talking, playing chess, and video games.

Most nights end with a hug.

But we recently shared our first kiss.

I think what I love most about him is how great he is with Diana. He teachers her skills.

Plays with her.

And will even have impromptu dance parties with her.

She absolutely adores him.

She even asked him to help her blow out her candles on her birthday.

Ron, Robb, Lydia, and Deon joined us for Diana’s birthday party. After cake we all spent the night dancing.

Here is Diana after her makeover. She is a social butterfly and has the outgoing trait.

It is great seeing Robb and Lydia so happy. I am proud of Robb for ignoring the whims and remaining faithful to Lydia ever since his one night stand with Lucy.

Things are going so great with William after the party I asked him to move in with Diana and me. He happily said yes. I can’t wait for us to start our life together.
